November 11th is just one day, every year, when people across the country and around the world come together and pause, for just a moment, to give thanks to those who have worn the uniform and put their lives on the line for our country. I stand with this grateful nation, and am honored to have served shoulder-to-shoulder with those selfless Americans who are part of the less than 1% who have volunteered to serve. However, our gratitude for our nations sons and daughters must extend beyond one day a year. It must extend in the workplace, in our community, and in our government, where a debt is owed to each of those who have sacrificed. We must work tirelessly to ensure that the promises that were made to our men and women in uniform are kept, and that the benefits and care they have earned and deserve, are delivered. To our veterans, mahalo, for all that you are and all that you do.
