November 12, 2014 I spent several hours last night and this morning working on BIO updates, and although I still have a couple more older ones to finish up...I was feeling pretty proud of myself. Proud until a few minutes ago when I realized I hadnt done my weekly prayer, and I thought, oh my! Whats my topic? Well here it is... FAMILY LOSS Over the last few days we have witnessed unbearable loss among PAWS members. A loving mother, Cindie Harris-Coffman, lost her precious baby girl after months of struggling with illness ~ but even with that, Amis death was unexpected. Tomorrow I drive to Ardmore, Oklahoma to watch my dear friend bury her daughter. A grieving grandmother, Tina Tubbs Pardue, buried her grandson, Patrick yesterday. This young man was suffering from PTSD after serving in the Army. Struggling with painful memories and horrific visions, Patrick lost his battle and his will to live. What do we say to these two strong, God fearing women, whose lives are suddenly shattered in pieces on the floor around them? How many of us have children and grandchildren? How many of us are suddenly staring into the eyes of reality and thinking, dear God, that could be my daughter, or what would I do if that was my grandson? Please join me tonight in prayer for Cindie, Tina, and their families. May our Heavenly Father in His infinite wisdom, grant peace to their grieving hearts. Bless them Father, bless them...
