November 13, 2014 Jen and Jen visited today, Abbeys home Nurse - TopicsExpress

November 13, 2014 Jen and Jen visited today, Abbeys home Nurse and home PT person, or maybe its OT - I get them confused. We are taking advantage of the approved visits for home Nurse, PT, and OT people in the name of making sure we are looking for developmental opportunities and if something occurs as an issue, to be aware of it. These people have been great for Cheryl and myself, tips on what to work on with Abbey like tummy time, holding her butt down so she can lift her shoulders and head, etc. Today, and I missed it, but today during one of the visits while laying on her stomach on the floor mat, Abbey rolled herself over! A milestone! She already has great control of lifting her head while on her stomach, and who knows when she will again roll over but its her first! 8 lbs 4 ounces today too. Growth is at just the right rate actually, and shes on an all or mostly all frozen breastmilk bottle now too. I say mostly because she gets a little of what I call cream, the fresh stuff, added once in a while to top off a bottle or if shes hungry between snacks, the opportunity to help herself live for the real thing! Im sitting here with Abbey just finished her 8 pm feeding and will be up for her 11ish then Cheryl takes over for the rest of the night. And Zoey is hanging around at my feet - shes become quite protective and overseeing about this new creature in our lives. We call Zoey the supervisor because she comes from wherever shes hiding to hang out watching what we do with Abbey when its feeding time, or if Abbey is throwing any kind of crying fit - theres Zoey checking things out! I love my girls!!
