November 15th – Clean Out Your Refrigerator Day! Doesnt that sound like fun?? Without definitive proof, speculation seems to place the blame for this day of celebration on Whirlpool. But down through the years its mention has been taken over by the general public, bloggers, and American homemakers, supposedly in an effort to remind everyone to clean out their fridge so there will be enough room for all those upcoming Thanksgiving leftovers. History aside, our 1957 lead-lined refrigerator gets its fifteen minutes of fame in 2008’s film Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. Our star fridge comes to the rescue when Soviet Agents decide to obliterate Nuketown with intrepid Indy the only living thing in it.
