November 16~ 1970 - In Beckemeyer, Illinois a triangular object with orange and white lights was seen on this evening by several following a high school basketball game, low in the sky. A second object emerged from it, and then moved about in an erratic manner. (Sources: Breese (IL) Journal, November 19, 1970; Jay Rath, The I-Files: True Reports of Unexplained Phenomena in Illinois, p. 49). 1973 - Two sentries at the Istrana NATO Air Base in Italy spotted two humanoids during the evening. One of the sentries was climbing down from his lookout post on the perimeter of the base, 30 kilometers northwest of Venice, Italy, when he saw, close by in a field outside the base, two beings dressed entirely in white. They were no more than 4 1/2 feet tall. Near a hedge stood a small craft, also white. The beings boarded the object and it departed in total silence. It rose slowly, then shot off towards the east. The sentry coming on duty also observed the departure and marks were later found on the ground at the landing site. The matter was investigated by the military and classified top secret. Webb & Ted Bloecher, HUMCAT: Catalogue of Humanoid Reports, case # 1973-73 [A1283]). 1973 - An unidentified submarine object like a glowing underwater parachute was seen in the Pascagoula River from Pascagoula, Mississippi at eight oclock in the evening. (Source: UNICAT, case # 619, citing Larry Fawcett & Barry Greenwood, Clear Intent, p. 70). 1973 - A 15-year-old teen and three others (a boy and two girls) saw a red spherical object come down and land twice in Evansville, Indiana at 9:45 p.m. They tried to catch it as it traveled about 10 feet above the ground. It had a round thing on it like an electric eye and a glowing red, basket-like bottom section. The UFO report was phoned into the UFO Filter Center by the older boys mother. (Source: Francis L. Ridge, Regional Encounters, p. 52). 1973 - In Lemon Grove, California two 11-year-old boys saw a dark domed disc in an empty lot. The boys were outside, intending to play in the vacant lot in their residential neighborhood. When they got to the field at 7:15 p.m. there was already a dark object hovering about 18 inches above the ground. It seemed to be inactive in every way. One of the boys cautiously approached it and rapped on it with his flashlight 3-4 times. It made a sound like it was made of metal. Instantly, the objects dome lit up in a brilliant red light which illuminated the entire area. It rose three or four feet off the ground, and a row of green lights came on around its perimeter, flashing in sequence. The thing then began rotating, making a woooo..woooo..woooo.. sound. At this point it was clear to see that the object was a domed disc, with the disk part chubby but angular when seen from the side, as if two bowls with flat bottoms and 45-degree sides were placed rim to rim. The dome was large and tall and glowing bright red at first, then it started flashing an intermittent red. One of the boys said he saw rivets or bolts around the central rim. Four landing pods were now visible. The UFO continued to rise and the boys began to run home. As they did so, they felt chills and a tingling sensation, and they also felt weak, like they were going to die...and running in slow motion. The UFO, later estimated to be 20 feet in diameter, took off at moderate speed and disappeared into the clouds. The boys told both their mothers immediately upon getting to their homes of their close encounter. Field investigation revealed two holes in the ground, 6 x 6 inches square and 6 inches deep. A third depression was found that formed an equilateral triangle. Grass in the field was swirled counter-clockwise. Five residents recalled unusual television interference at the time when the boys reported the object. A magnetometer at the La Posta station registered a perturbation at 7:20 as well. It was discovered that local telephone service was impaired, ultimately requiring two fused phone lines to be replaced. Hiscar engine died, but his headlights continued to work. It had a small dome on it. It rose slowly and silently, then shot off to the east. (Sources: Lumieres dans la Nuit, April 1980; Larry Hatch, U computer database, case # 12936). 1979 - A disc-shaped object landed in the Izmajlovo Park in Moscow, Russia at around eight p.m. A humanoid figure with 4-digits on its hands exited the craft for 10 minutes. The ground trace left behind was a large circle of melted snow. (Source: Larry Hatch, U computer database, case # 13347, citing The National Enquirer UFO Report, p. 20).
