November 16th marked one year since the passing of a great man, Billy Hardwick. For the 7 years Ive worked with him, he was a kind and generous man, treated an individual with the respect they deserved, and would welcome you like family to his establishment. I am thankful for the time that I had with the gentleman while I wish I could have got to know him better and I am glad he got to meet my daughter before he passed. I feel like this song encompasses everything that one would feel after losing a loved one and that it should be played to remind yourself that life doesnt end at death as long as the ones left behind keep you in their thoughts and heart. The album as a whole actually does this. Hail to the king played on our way to his funeral and I will forever recognize that as his song albeit a rather darker song.
