November 17th It has been one long weekend. Tom was in the Neuro ICU and was doing a little better and then transferred to cardiac ward Late Friday night. As my Mother used to say (East just went West ) Everything went wrong Saturday evening after we all left and he started running a fever of 102 degrees, blood pressure dropped and oxygen level fell. He was transferred back to the CCU this time on 2nd floor. When I got there on Sunday morning his blood pressure was 65/30 and oxygen level was back and forth. He has congestive heart, partial pnuemonia, partial collapsed lung, blood disease ( staph infection) so they have been working trying to bring blood pressure up and oxygen level up. He was put on his c-pac machine hoping this will help but if that doesnt they are serious considering the ventelator ( and that is scary ) as the doctor told me if he went on that it could be up to 10 to 14 days.Tom is the one who has to decide about ventelator. Today they put a central line in from the heart and yesterday a line from pulse for blood pressure to get a true reading. Today was a little better day he was more awake but he has a long ways to go as things could change anytime. Doctors are still puzzled to where the primary cancer is, as they say it is still dormant and we are praying it does not wake and spread with all that is going on in his body. There is a song( Who Knows What Tomorrow Brings) so we just keep believing God will see Tom through this safely. Thank you for your continued prays.
