November 18th at 11:00 AM in CC220, Frances Moore Lappé will be giving a lecture where she will discuss the concepts in her EcoMind book. She will also point out a few citizen-led initiatives that we know of regarding plastic use and sustainability. Some of the Northampton students are currently leading a campus wide initiative to Ban the Bottle, where they would like to eliminate the option of purchasing beverages that come in plastic bottles. This lecture hopes to inspire more students to get involved in plastic reduction and making NCC more sustainable. We are co-sponsoring the event, so come by and show your PTK pride! Also, you can get AIMs points for this event and you get to see a well renown author!
