November 1st: Thankful for sunshine. November 2nd: Thankful for health insurance. November 7th: Today I am thankful that I have relative financial stability. November 8th: Thankful that I dont live in the Phillipines. November 9th: Family...good to see Peggy Murphy Mercado, Larry Mercado, and Cristina this weekend! November 10th: Thankful that my district cares enough about music education to make me assign quarterly grades to all 218 of my students. November 11th: Thankful that at the 11th hour, on the 11th day, of the 11th month, communities across the country still stop and honor all those who have served, and continue to serve, to preserve our freedoms. I am always reminded of Hank Ranich, who as a young man played taps at the funerals of Civil War Veterans, served his country in WWII as a Marine, and continued to play taps at Veterans Day ceremonies, in his dress blues, into his 90s...may he rest in peace. November 12th: Warm bed, full belly. November 13th: Thankful that I had a productive evening...unfortunately it came at the expense of missing rehearsal. November14th: Thankful for my parents for shaping me into the person I am today. They rock. November 15th: Thankful for the beautiful sunrise this morning. November 16th: Broome Street. November 17th: My kitchen prowess...pictures to follow November 18th: Sleep November 19th: Thankful that I did NOT hit the deer that sprinted in front of my car this morning. November 20th: Thankful that our winter concert is still a few rehearsals away... November 21st: Thankful for colder weather! November 21st Part 2: Thankful for modern communication devices...because I got to talk to Scotchguard Scott Glasser Few days behind... November 22nd: Thankful for all the string teachers who helped out with seating auditions at Area All-State Nancy Wegrzyn, Jon Bjorkman, Kathie Rife, Dan McCarten, Bonnie Glazier, Janine Bergamini, Keely Blaikner, Adam Ludwig, and Rick McCurdy November 23rd: Thankful to have watched Jonathan Handman work with over 120 student musicians all weekend...he was amazing. November 24th: Thankful that Kevin Giroux ran such an amazing festival, and I guess thankful that he asked me to chair a group:-) (No Kevin, that is not a volunteer statement to do it again next year!) November 25th: That I dont have to choose between which bills to pay. Fortunate that I can pay them.
