November 2, 2014, 8 am - Flight over Pahoa: Although the distal tip of the flow hasnt progressed any for the past couple days, the summit of Kilaueas return to inflation is beginning to show, as there are more breakouts throughout the flow field and with increasing volume. A fresh finger of lava running parallel to the leading edge, has further followed a channel built by the landowner. Although moderately successful up to this point in time, the narrow tip is just a sliver of the flow field a few hundred yards upslope, so itll be interesting to watch this event unfold.
