November 22 Hearing God’s Voice Each Day ASTOUNDING GRACE A poem by ILMA Have you ever pondered on God’s astounding grace? When you believe and rely on him, he is amazed Those moments when we doubt and question him He’s still there, patient, understanding and forgiving. When we seek him and study his word He provides everything we need in this world His boundless grace changes lives and brings transformation He rescues us from our sinful nature and leads us to our salvation. This same good news that came to you is going out all over the world. It is bearing fruit everywhere by changing lives, just as it changed your lives from the day you first heard and understood the truth about God’s wonderful grace. - Colossians 1:6 (NLT) FRUIT FROM GOD’S WONDERFUL GRACE I was raised in a church where self-efforts instead of total surrender and reliance on God and his amazing grace were the norms. Whenever I commit sins, I was expected to go to a priest and confess to him, be given penance and absolution. The bible tells us that the good news transform and bring fruits in our lives. It is not something we can work for. It is freely given to those who believe, walk in love, seek and obey him. The blood of Christ and his death on the cross is the good news that will transform us.
