November 29, 30 2014 Mong Kong. Update on my previous report. I estimate 7,000 to 10,000 were shopping in Mong Kong last night. Suddenly over a 10 minute period almost all shoppers moved to Argyle Street and lined it on one side. The police then came into the street over a 30 minute period and I estimate had 3,000 to 3,500 police lined 10 deep. The people kept shouting to the police that they wanted to cross the street. But they were told to go a long way several streets away to cross over. About 1,000 then went over to the other side as told by the police and the result was having the police in the middle of the shoppers. The shoppers then put up yellow umbrellas and the police tactical units moved in. I did not myself see any pepper spray used. Just as suddenly many groups of between 5 to 10 people went into the Mong Kok district and started to put items from the sidewalks into the streets and multiple locations. This led to about 1,000 people walking around the MK district with these small groups. No one could tell who was the small group and who were the shoppers. Police rushed but in a disorganized manner to try and figure out who the groups were from the shoppers and to stop the groups and remove the items. The people then just moved to another corner and did the same thing. This went on until about 3:30am. The police were clearly exhausted and finally just stood on the sidewalks and chased no one and the public just walked by them ignoring them. About 3:30am I saw about 1,000 people in mass on the sidewalk of Nathan Road Mong Kong and say they were going to walk to Tsim Sha Tsui TST. About 30 minutes later 8 or so police vans raced by with lights flashing down Nathan Road in the direction of TST. Mong Kong was quiet then until 7am today with just very few police I estimate at 50 or less present.
