November of 1995, I was living in Florida and anticipating moving back to OHIO in the early spring. It was my birthday and Ilona Achille (one of my best friends) took me to see this film for my 35th birthday and gave me an AWSOME memory. Ive been sitting in Sandys apt. this evening (remembering good memories from my past) enjoying (sipping slowly) a 50/50 (1 to 1 ratio) of Jack and Pepsi and watching: GOLDENEYE. Im almost wishing it was a Vodka Martini, SHAKEN... NOT STIRRED!!! Ive had so much fun this evening watching this BOND movie. FINALLY... PIERCE BROSNAN brings 007 to an entertaining realism that had been lost for some time. Not quite the nostalgia of Sir Sean Connery, but a kick butt movie that was long overdue. Sean will ALWAYS be my favorite BOND, but Pierce... you run a close second and thats a compliment!!! LOVE IT!!! Ilona, thanks for the best and most wonderful 35th birthday present. An awesome memory!!! There was a sequence in this film with the actress Famke Janssen (who played Xenia Onatopp) has a physical encounter with Bond and my oh my... LETHAL... BUT WHAT A WOMAN!!!
