Novice decision to edify top bank officials and ignoring Wage revision or casual approach to reasonable completion of 10th BPS is confusing us :=> This has reference to the Impractical govt. decision that Deputy General Manager and General Manager-rank officers will have to undergo a course on risk management before being considered for promotion. Though, we always positive on BJP govt. decision but it is noticed that due to heavy work pressure of two important ministries (Finance and Defense), the union Minister Mr. Arun Jaitley has taken illogical and nonsense decision to educate the top bank officials on banking risk management, in fact we welcome, if he suggests Banks to arrange Yoga and meditation classes per day before sitting on office chair, mandatorily. Further, you may appreciate and realize the fact that the Course of risk management starts from very first day of joining bank. In this connection very delighted to highlight that subordinate, non-subordinate and officers staff members, very intelligently and good-naturedly, through various type of instance get perfection under guidance of senior staff members in Branch as well as administrative office. We do agree that few officers has shamefaced our fraternity but commonly, Bankers are truthful and sincere, so, highlighting the malpractice of a handful culprits and questioning or raising finger on honesty of entire bankers is not justified and not acceptable, rather treated sympathetically due earning poor salary and perks in compare to the responsibility and errorless working. To influence the education culture, it may be good decision but to cleanse the system and permanent resolution of current challenges of corruption Govt. should investigate the deployment of Staff in banks through third party investigating agency and work on the few points given below: 1. Devalued the importance of degree: Resume must be viewed seriously in addition to past working performance and preferably give importance to study in terms of certificates awarded. 2. Cost of child education: can a banker afford to pay donation and other charges of a reputed school due to frequent transfer on promotion or routine (as per bank policy)? There is urgent requirement to do some alternate arrangement or provide actual educational expense of at least two children. 3. Cost of Rent accommodation: It is one of the challenging areas to looking in to the matter and actual cost to be paid. 4. Medical expense: Actual medical cost including non hospitalization and eyes spectacles and others. We request UFBU leaders to raise these issues before IBA Officials, Bank Management, top Govt. officials and concerning Ministries besides long pending Wage revision on top precedence . Of late,few cases of banking frauds are not flaring good fragrance in society nationwide, but these are instances of individual failures and case of aberration at the individual officer level, must be stop please.
