Now Hiring – 2nd Shift Manufacturing Engineer Paint – Kansas City, MO – PMC13370 Job Duties: The major functions of this position include: Technical support of day to day injection molding operations. Assist in new product and tooling reviews. Assist with sampling of new tools for product launches to include scientific process development. Will assist robotic process development for all new and existing tooling. Troubleshooting and correction of existing molding process issues. Use analytical approaches to provide continuous improvement activities in the injection molding department. Work with people and resources to meet quality, cost and schedule milestones for assigned strategic initiatives. Assist with formulating equipment and staffing plans that optimize and enhance existing capacity along with future growth. Participate in the development of robust documentation that clearly records current and future processes. Assist Work Group Advisors to provide and document technical training to injection molding staff. Partner with union leadership, hourly and salary employees using consensus decision making throughout the process. Provide coaching and feedback to hourly and salary personnel. Insure all work is performed safely and at absolute minimum risk to employees and equipment. Work closely with safety personnel to maintain compliance with OSHA and corporate policies and procedures for new and existing processes. Inspect work areas daily to insure all requirements are met and hazards are identified and corrected while maintaining good housekeeping in all areas of responsibility. Required Skills & Experience: Manufacturing Engineering experience in a production environment. Experience with paint applications and/or processes is preferred. Degree in an engineering discipline is required. This is a temporary assignment with a prestigious company.
