Now I know spring is here: t’s that time of the year again. We (highway18/) open for the 2014 season this Friday, April 25th with “Muppets Most Wanted”, a “comedy, family, crime, sequel” rated PG and starring Tina Fey, a whole bunch of name actors in cameos and, of course, those hilarious Muppets. This film got lukewarm reviews from the artsy critics, but it’s a funny movie and, come on, who doesn’t like The Muppets. Our second feature will be “Need For Speed”, an “action/adventure, adaptation” rated PG-13 for “sequences of reckless street racing, disturbing crash scenes, nudity, and crude language” (take this rating description with a grain of salt: Walt Disney pictures is the releasing studio and they’re not going to back any movie that’s too risqué). To summarize this film: it’s got terrible acting and a laughable story line, but does it have great car action sequences. You’re going to come out of this movie wanting to sell your house to buy a souped up Shelby Mustang GT.
