Now I never like to post negative things on message boards where people are about to go on dream holidays, but here goes....weve just got back today from another visit to WDW. 2 weeks at the Caribbean Beach Resort broken up with 4 days at St Petes Beach (which was the highlight for me). Having been to Disney on 8 occasions in the last 13 years I can honestly say this was the worst experience ever!!. Why does Disney expect me to plan my holiday 6 months in advance? We shouldnt have to pay premium rate for our holiday and then plan a regimented trip just to ensure we can ride the rides we want. Please, please, please WDW get rid (or change) the current fast pass system, its unfair to the people that want to be able to go on holiday and just be impulsive. Should you prefer to be like me and be impulsive then its highly likely that you wont get to ride any of the rides that you want (unless you queue for over an hour for a 2 min attraction). Also if you are driving whilst over there then avoid Downtown Disney at all costs, current works mean that you will not get anywhere fast (took over an hour to get from main gate to DTD on Saturday night), a trip of approx 4 miles!! Its not all bad though but I feel that a rant about the FP system is justified, even the many cast members that we have spoken to are baffled by the change. On the positive side I would just like to thank Virgin on their exemplary service yet again. We were presented yesterday with 2 x £10 vouchers for our anniversary upon check in at DTD and also presented with a bottle of bubbly at 36,000ft.
