Now I understand that this is an officially released song and before that had been on the bootleg circuit for years so many of you will have heard this before but Im sure that many of you havent and since this is such a unique performance from a unique season I thought it might be worth posting!!! So, a little background. For Elvis eleventh Las Vegas season beginning on 19 August 1974 he decided to go for a complete revamp of his setlist which included dropping the 2001 theme, See See Rider and I Got a Woman / Amen and replacing them with oldies and new songs. It seems that Elvis was underwhelmed with the audience reaction and whether through panic, frustration of impatience the setlist was changed back the following night. This may of course just been indicitave of Elvis mood as many of the seasons shows would include long monolougues and karate demos and the season would end with one of the two most infamous shows of his career................... https://youtube/watch?v=flYDEolR7Yo
