Now Ill be the first one defending a farm/ranch that has been encroached upon by housing developments when the occupants of these houses start to complain about the odors raised by said farm/ranch operation. The ideology that you can move out to farm country yet maintain city aroma control is quite idiotic. On the other hand what happens when the development already exist and the farm/ranch locates close enough to stink up the area with animal stench because there are far more animals on the property then what in reality should be there.? You cant stick a chicken into a square foot area by the thousands and not expect them to stink and if the neighboring community was there first then what recourse do the home owners have to correct an issue that didnt exist when they bought those parcels of land and homes.? It would appear at first glance the city/county is going to side with the entity that provides the most revenue into the coffers or the elected campaign coffers, how about the judges they are elected as well so would they turn a blind eye to justice in terms of a campaign contribution..?
