Now, Im not a very religious person, but oh the power of prayer. Yesterday was the much dreaded appt. with moms oncologist. But to our surprise it was awesome news. It appears that after the PET Scan, Brain MRI and other tests from last week were evaluated moms cancer is a lot less severe than first thought. The first CT scans from the hospital seemed to show what they thought were another small spot on the lung as well as the large tumor, and also that the lymph nodes were also involved. After further testing, AND LOTS OF PRAYING, the small spot was only inflammation and the lymph nodes nor any other part of the body is affected. Which puts the tumor at stage 2 instead of stage 3. Dr. said she would probably not even need chemo. Sending her to a lung dr. and surgeon to see if shes a candidate for surgery??? Probably not, but radiation should be all she needs. Thank You everyone for the prayers. Keep em coming!!.
