Now Ray Rice is being likened to a modern day lynching or deification of the Black man. I wish yall would stop. Seriously. Or better yet. I wish youd continue, and actually take these elevated thoughts, flush them out, develop them and put them to good cause to build up community, family, and being back the days of authenticity, utility, and integrity. I wish we go to school, back to school, learn trades, establish wealth, build legacy, LOVE our sons & daughters - I wish wed do all that with this passion over the last day. Ive witnessed far more people outraged at a Black man with millions losing it all, than Ive witnessed the horror at the state of our families and communities. And anyone that knows me, knows Im never in the business of telling folks what to be outraged about. We all approach situations differently. That different approach is apart of the beauty, and frustration of life. But calling for boycotts of the Ravens, going through the motions of men & women hitting each other all the time, blah blah blah - just stop. A quote says its easier to build up strong children, than to repair a broken man. I take that quote up one notch and say its easier to build up strong communities than to come in the middle of the dark alley and try to tell up from down as you all have spent the last 24hrs doing. Ray Rice made an action. His wife made one. For every action, there is & are reaction(s). To make millions of OUR money playing football is a privilege indeed. Life is not without consequences. Lets stop whining about WHAT happened and really start holistically and of sound mind start addressing what are we doing and the state of how are we living & loving that something like this EVEN happened.
