Now Thomas (called Didymus), one of the Twelve, was not with the disciples when Jesus came. So the other disciples told him, We have seen the Lord! But he said to them, Unless I see the nail marks in His hands and put my finger into His side, I will not believe it. Doubts and unbelief overwhelmed all the disciples after the crucifixion. Thomas was a rational man and did not want to believe something absurd like Jesus alive after the gruesome crucifixion. He demanded proof! And Jesus gave him what he needed to believe! Jesus said that we who believe without seeing will be even more blessed than those disciples who physically saw and touched Him! We now have the Scripture record of these eye-witness accounts and the Holy Spirit to reveal truth to us! Lets share this good news!
