Now Worcester (and auburn and graft on) are the testbed for Nstars - TopicsExpress

Now Worcester (and auburn and graft on) are the testbed for Nstars smart meters and tower to be built on Tory Fort Rd. The rest of Massachusetts are to follow (note Nstar is a British company.) These are a new type of electronic meter on your house. The meters transmit radiation between 10,000 and 190,000 times per day communicating with the Tory Fort Tower (yet to be built); the meters are already on most houses. You will be charged an additional fee for the smart meter and Nstar will have the capability to turn down your thermostat and other devices if they think you are running it too high. You can opt out - but this only removes the meter from your house...call 855 377 7627 and say remove my smart meter. You still get the radiation from the other houses and the tower around you. Come to City Hall June 16th at 5:30 pm to the planning board. Gary Rosen has spoken out against this I believe and Connie Lykes has also I think.
