Now after Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, behold, wise men from the east came to Jerusalem, saying, “Where is he who has been born king of the Jews? For we saw his star when it rose and have come to worship him.” When they saw the star, they rejoiced exceedingly with great joy. And going into the house they saw the child with Mary his mother, and they fell down and worshiped him. Then, opening their treasures, they offered him gifts, gold and frankincense and myrrh. (Matthew 2:1-2, 10-11 ESV) Wise men still seek Him! Isnt this so true? There are many men and women that have accomplished great things in their lifetime, but if they didnt have wisdom from The Lord all they truly had was knowledge of how to accomplish the tasks before them. Wisdom truly is a gift from Heaven above. As the Christmas of 2014 draws to an end and the year itself is in its final days I hope you have time to reflect on how truly blessed we are to be the recipients of the first Christmas gift ever given. I pray that you are among the wise who have sought and found the Christ who is no longer a tiny babe in manger but our risen Savior and Lord! My prayer for you as this year comes to an end and 2015 is only a few days away is that our Prince of peace is truly that for you! Praise Him in the storms and tell of His greatness on Your mountain tops. Dear Lord, I love You so much! Thank You for loving us and for blessing us. We know we dont deserve You! Forgive us of all the times we fail and the sin in our lives. Transform us into Your image more each day. We know that transformation only comes from time spent with You, so give us a hunger for Your word that cannot be satisfied and give us wisdom and knowledge and we feast on its riches. Use us in Your service to draw others unto You for Your glory! Open our eyes to the lonely and the hurting, especially this holiday season! We give You all honor and all glory and all praise! You are so very worthy!!!
