Now and then, when I am busy doing normal, routine chores, something happens which was a perfect photo opportunity...today was such a day. Echostar shoved a gate, which had a bucket of grain he was eating, hanging from it, OPEN and off he went, out the barn door, into my drive, to race up and down and harrass any other boys he could reach. So, I went after him, popping the whip, because his target was RJ, and he was rearing up to strike the steel panels that make up RJs pen. He raced away, down toward the pasture mares, then back up the drive..looking as beautiful and flowing as I have ever seen him. As he began to pass the barn opening back to his pen, he changed his mind and did a sharp right turn in the mud to head into the barn.....and fell flat on his side, looking anything but beautiful and flowing. He does NOT like being laughed at. If only I had been carrying the camera :)
