Now do not be stiff-necked, as your fathers were, but yield - TopicsExpress

Now do not be stiff-necked, as your fathers were, but yield yourselves to the Lord. (2 Chronicles 30:8 NKJV) Every day cars plow into each other because drivers fail to yield the right-of-way. By nature, we dont like to yield. The word itself means, to give up, to relinquish, to surrender, to give way to. That goes against our nature, but yielding is necessary on the highways. Learning to yield can save your life and the lives of others. Our road with the Lord is also lined with yield signs. The Bible says we are to yield ourselves to the Lord. James 3:17 says that wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and willing to yield. If we want to follow the Lord, we must not be stiff-necked, always needing our own way. We must learn how to yield our ways to the Lord - on every road we travel.
