Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. (Hebrews 11:1) When things go as we want, this is an easy verse to believe. However when events swirl out of control and God is absolutely as silent as a grave, what then? Is God content to allow us to suffer with His silence? Does such build faith, or tear apart the very relationship He claims to desire to build with us? Would we as parents do likewise with our child? I am merely ruminating upon an elusive concept. There is no need to respond with any churchy cliches; I know them all.
