Now for my fourth Redbox movie of the evening, my two cats and I are going to watch the Kevin Smith horror movie Tusk which was filmed right next door to me in Charlotte, NC. I used to be a big fan of Kevin Smith and still really like his first movie Clerks the best. Ive tried rewatching his other movies recently and, for the life of me, cant understand why I actually like them. For example, I use to say Chasing Amy was his best work until I sat down to watch it on Netflix with my son Liam. I couldnt get through the film, the acting was bad and much of the rapidfire dialogue had nothing to do with the movie which just got on my nerves. Plus, it seems everybody in that damn movie smoked. I have nothing against smoking in movies, because it can be a really good prop for a character. However, I grew up in the 80s and have gone to see a lot of bands in bars and can tell you right now not everybody I associated with smoked as much Mr. Smith has characters doing.
