Now for some fun stuff.. I keep yapping about being prepared.. learning new skills .. I am going to try and take some classes this year at John C. Campbell School for Folk Arts in North Carolina.. I would love to take my granddaughter Nora with me .. I bought her a table top loom among other things for Christmas.. but they offer LOTS of guy stuff I would not mind taking including iron mongering . making quality tools of wood and metal and horseshoeing to name a few .. my daughter attended one year and learned how to make soap .. she makes it for gifts etc. I want to learn how to weave . .. I love fabric and fabric art .. used to sew a LOT for myself, kids and theater groups in the area.. and designed gowns for different people... yes I do have another side.. but if you want to learn how to play the banjo, make puppets, weave, canning, making furniture, baskets, do pottery, make your own musical instrument, learn campfire cooking, bread making .. nail making .. you name it .. this would be the place to go .. its absolutely beautiful place .. they also have class that last less then 4 days if you can not stay a week. Something to consider in this age where we may need some of the old time skills sets.. for fun or profit or to survive.. all good with me. https://folkschool.org/
