Now, here is an interesting discovery. A previously thought extinct species of giant elephant called gomphotheres was found with Clovis points at a site in NW Mexico, dating 13,500 years ago. Personally, I believe that as more and more Paleoindian sites are uncovered, they will find more extinct animal species associated with humans. In one of my books I associated an extinct animal species with Folsom People. That particular animal species was supposed to be long gone by Folsom times. I just think it is a matter of time before an archaeological site connects this animal species with Folsom people. Do you remember the book and the animal species I am referring to? ibtimes.co.uk/gomphotheres-giant-elephant-ancestors-lived-alongside-humans-prehistoric-north-america-1456796
