Now let me get this right. Bright, Chapel Hill, Carolina, Duke and Davidson College, high school, technical school grads, experienced parents and children of the Great Generation, The Great Generation itself, and folks who believe in God, truth, justice, and The American Way in North Carolina, just elected a man who has been responsible for dismantling public education at all levels in the state. We just elected a man who, along with the Governor, and Art Pope; two of the most deleterious, selfish and misguided politicians the South has ever seen, and who has committed himself to one plan of governance with only one clear goal. In all of his political aspiration at this moment, even his commercials say he has one platform and one platform only.....stop Obama. Now, when Mitch McConnell of Georgia and others like him (including John Boehner) declared that their sole intent was to obstruct Presidential policy for no obvious reason, in my mind, obviously there is only one reason--American intelligence (an oxymoron at this point) has only one rule..we will never accept leadership or direction from a black man. That is the only reason those politicians had to oppose him. He had not even been inaugurated and they made their tresonous claim. Why? Racial pride was offended and bruised. So what do we do? Dont take a high ground and become leadeds of a world in need of leadership. No....A world that when we elected President Obama, cheered us until we, through our own racist treason, proved to be militantly ignorant. Now if American culture is willing to lynch publicly and daily the first Black President for no reason other than he is smart and caught them by surprise, and if the American people know that politicians obstructed ALL of his policy for 6 years, then my only deduction is that politicians are not stupid, truculent, mean racist and treasonous, these dynamics define the American people who elected them. Shortsighted, frightened, fooled and gullible, Americans have voted for the wolf in sheeps clothing. These people dont give a damn about white, black or your rights to vote. If they cared about you more than their greedy agenda, they would have done something other than obstruct government. That obstruction robbed your parents and children and you. Most Americans were willing to go along because the clarion call was the protection of a misguided Divine Right and Take our country back more than an interest in global human rights and pragmatic international leadership. We stuck our heads into the racist hole that we dug in 1619 rather than embrace the promise of this marvelous scientific and technological hour. You want less government you say. Well, you are supposedly a Christian nation. Jesus says, Render unto Ceasar that which is Ceasars and unto God that which is Gods. In this culture, we have destroyed any positive and deveopmental quality of government through our treason and we long ago discarded concepts of faith, justice and righteousness. I mean people like Constantine, Augustine and King James didnt give a damn about the people. Their only concern was their precious tradition of church and we are certainly no better today than the ancestral fathers who took faith and spirit and aimed it at an invisible God rather than an active, engaged and living people of God. (Like the inspiring God and loving Jesus suggested) So what do I tell my children? That the best and brightest in America have lost their rabid ass minds-as a result, you and yours must create systems that support your local community-however that is comprised and whomever it includes. Black folks need to create a banking structure that relies on the capital and promise of our community. Ohhh, Im not racializing or galvanizing Black culture, Tom Tillis, Pat McCrory and Art Pope did that over the last 6 years intentionally and strategically. Through their policy, they have attempted to destroy the vote, underfund education in the state, and promote a policy of ignorance and control. Increased gun advocacy and the fear mongering generated by liars and fools on talk radio have been far more affective at dividing Americans instead of uniting them. And who wants a Black President to unite America? Nobody wants a brother to have that much ability. It sends a bad signal in a nation whose signals about Black masculinity are inherently negative. Our contributions have built America, the lies about us have maintained its greatest and most dysfunctional myth-that we have, contribute, created and generate nothing. And if you believe so, you too are a fool. Ive witnessed it personally all my life. It has been true way before Obama came along. Ask the brothers you work with and if you promise you wont fire them for telling the truth, youll find out the degree to which it is so this very day In America. Oh, I deeply regret that I feel the way I do. I am heavily invested in the State of North Carolina. I helped to build this state, I have defended it, educated it, and still hold out promise that the present is just a moment when fools have fooled the better angels of our nature. But my children have to walk around in this craziness and they are the prey of choice for American ignorance at the moment. I have no faith in any political based resolutions in the Black neighborhood now that McCrory and Tillis have recreated the racist divisions of yesterday. We have to communicate and collaborate with global partners to by-pass this moment of American ignorance. In addition we must begin to tell our children and ourselves that we must maintain American empathy and genius even if our brothers prefer witchcraft and bullshit over technology and science. We must engage and collaborate with individuals willing to live in a modern reality. Todays politician is only interested in the conformity of party politics and is most often incapable of original, catalytic, international and pragmatic processes. Tom Tillis does not know whether to shit or go blind if Art Pope and the Koch Brothers who own him, dont tell him which end is up. That has been obvious in North Carolina for 6 years, It will be even more obvious in DC. So come on my sons. This is still the land of opportunity. Today, our greatest opportunity is each other. This has been true before of the children of Africa in America and today, nothing is more true or relevant. Damn politics. Those folks have lost their compass. It is time to stop checking our mail at the white mans mail box. Old rich white men in the south are quick to tell you, and will tell you plainly; Nothing in life was as informative, forgiving, nurturing, and creative as a solid Black community. We raised America. She didnt go out of her mind until we got integrated and stopped challenging white culture to explore its own better nature. Martin king pointed his finger in Kennedys face and expressed the importance of now. He almost got arrested. Our leaders lately have only kissed the hands that oppressed us...even the black hands that did Ceasars bidding. So stand up my son and put your guns down. Do not join the pussification of American culture. Be strong men and protect your families, orient your faith toward eachbother and not a pie in the sky, teach your children yourself because the little girls that graduated from State dont mean them good. Do business with each other and most difficult learn to trust those things we can and must do together. Otherwise, you wont die to go to hell, Tom Tillis will have it delivered to your door. As a matterbof fact, stick your head out and listen, you can hear the train on the way.
