Now let me just explain. It may look a beautiful summers day, but this video was taken today! Gloriously sunny yes, but EXTREMELY FRESH!!! And just before this was taken the cruel organisers got us all to empty fresh bags of ice into the pool! And we did it! It was chuffing freeeeeeezing, but also exhilarating, and I dont think Ive ever climbed out of a pool so fast in my life. On the way up to the university I really, really, really didnt want to do it. I was dreading it. But Seb looked at my (rubbish) polar bear painted face (our hats didnt turn up) and said you look mazing mummy and it brought such a lump to my throat. And then on the journey we passed a really special lady. She didnt see us, but walking along the street was Sebs portage worker. Her visits were invaluable to me when Seb was a toddler and she is someone who means a lot to me. So it seemed so bizarre to have a rare, chance spotting of her and it was a wake up call for me to get over myself and remember all the amazing people we are all so lucky to have in our lives supporting us along the way - from professionals and carers to volunteers and charities. A MASSIVE thank you to my amazing work colleagues who jumped with me, I honestly could not have done it on my own and it was even Lisas birthday today, they made it really special and Im touched they have up their Saturdays to do it. And of course a massive thank you to everyone who sponsored me, which was the whole point. My jump alone raised over £350 and money still coming in!!!!!
