Now public,Denver,world. This has been troubling me big time. Am in a industry were tips are big, just like any service industry. Now am talking to every single one of you! And I have been guilty my dam self. You go out to eat a server person takes yo order,brings yo drinks. Either they or someone brings out the food. They come around refresh your drinks. At the end you give a tip. Because you see them. You dont tip the person who prepared or cook the food. Cause you dont see him. Now am in a Guest service industry. I work at a five diamond hotel. Five diamond!! That means big money people, business men fortune 500 companies and celebrities of all kind. When you com to my establishment. There are the doorman tip, there is the bellman takes your bags to your room tip. Then Thiers the ladies that come around to give you ice extra towels, glasses you tip. Then if you want a snack or a meal in your room. The room service people bring that to you. They dont cook it or prepare it, they get a tip. And am the one sometimes that cleans up the after math for them. But this aint about me or people dat do my job. It the hardest working people out of all of use. Am not saying we all dont work hard or go out of our way to make the experience a great one. After all its a service industry. Am talking about the room attendat, house maid. They go out the way to make sure your bed is made, your room is clean, your glasses are properly clean. I take those glasses to the dish washer to be cleaned. And if they are not polished like the attendant wants she want use them. They want the best for there guest. The best that a five diamond facility has to offer. With all that said it breaks my heart to see people that care so much spend so much time, to make us all comfortable. And because we never see them per say. We dont tip theses people! And out of everyone in the hotel industry. Your room attendant deserves to be tiped more than any one. Next time you travel. If yo sheets feel good, your room looks and feels home away from home. Thats your room attendant or house maid whatever you call them. Please take time to tip theses women. They work hard for all of us!
