Now that I am back from Croatia, I think back to my experience and would like to point out what I remembered most :) (in no particular order!) 1. Toilets are very clean! Everywhere! 2. People, especially older generation, are very nice although they may not seem too friendly at the beginning. Just because they dont smile (like in the west) doesnt mean they are not willing to help. 3. The food is pretty good regardless of where you eat. Cheap doesnt mean bad. 4. Croatians seem to regard their life under Yugoslavia better than it is now. They are not very optimistic about their future. 5. The country has a lot to offer in terms of tourism and is not too expensive.
