Now that I have had time to get home and unwind I will explain some of the photos :) A mile up the road from the cabin is a trail that goes in to the weimanuche wilderness it is a wonderful trail with the river noise, beautiful views and the goal for our family is often to make it to the second bridge ... it was the last place my Mom and I hiked together. Aug 9, 15 years ago, my Mom was born in to eternity so making it to the second bridge for me was a goal and a mission. I met a young spirit a long the way that seemed to take much joy in the journey with me as he had never been on the trail, his father is facing early onset alzheimers and we had a lot in common that we happily chatted about along the way ... once to the bridge (after seeing a heart rock in the river and many heart rocks along the way) we went happily on in different ways ... him to fish the river, me to high tail down the mountain (and back up lol) it was worth the sunburn :) Love you Mom! It truly is one of the most special places on earth to me, having gone there with my brother several times, my mother and my hubby
