Now that Ive been tear gassed 7 times, had sound cannons aimed at me and had 12 gauge rubber riot bullets fired at me, I will adamantly stand by my claim that militant police reactions are very much unconstitutional and overblown in Ferguson. Yes, there are agitators coming from out of town and they must be dealt with, but Ive seen the type of force that should be directed at those outsiders also directed at mothers in pajamas holding protest signs and journalists standing off to the side taking pictures. The martial law tactics are being used against ALL citizens in Ferguson, not just those trying to cause conflict or commit crime. Again, does a water bottle being thrown at cops by one individual warrant that kind of treatment against everyone in sight? There is literally no common sense judgement being used by the militant forces. There is just a blanketed, scorched earth policy in place that removes all 1st and 4th amendment rights from anyone in the area. I experienced this first hand countless times over the course of three days. And it shows me how easily and how quickly it can come to any community in America.
