Now that Ive begun teaching yoga to women in jail, Im thinking about branching out to teach older women. I recommend practicing a short flow series of about two minutes with the fundamental poses Virabhadrasana 1 and 2 (Warrior), Utthita Trikonasana (Triangle), and reverse Utthita Trikonasana, finishing with a modified Utthita Parsvakonasana (Extended side angle). If you just did that sequence on both sides every single day, a fifty, sixty, seventy, or eighty year old woman could extend her mobility for the duration. I love my old dial phones. It doesnt even bother me to have to dial. It takes me back to when I was a hippie designer and used to talk on the phone all day while I was sewing. So they are just fun, security-blankety things to have in the house.
