Now that July has come to a close, there were several interesting weather statistics for the month at both Oklahoma City, OK and Wichita Falls, TX. In Oklahoma City: several records were broken for the coolest maximum and coldest low temperatures for a given day. The entire month also ranked the 19th coolest on record. In Wichita Falls: a record high temperature occurred on the 4th and a record warmest low temperature occurred on the 5th. However, most of the temperatures were cold enough for the entire month of July to rank the 3rd coolest on record. The total precipitation for the month was 5.53 inches which makes it the 3rd wettest July on record. So despite some warm/hot days in the month, this July was cool and wet.
