Now that Rampal baba and his army is arrested, here are my two paisa on the topic. This is a fine case-study to distinguish a decisive government from a prevaricating one. Rampal evaded 42 summons during Cong Hooda govt. 43rd summon, 1st under BJP Govt & hes been arrested despite his private army. Firstly, congratulations are in order for Haryana govt (Manoharlal Khattar) and Union HM Rajnath Singh for prompt and stern action. This could have blown out as another Operation Bluestar but was delicately handled by police and paramilitary. Good Job!! This Babaji will (should) be hung till death as sedition charges are slapped against him. Secondly, Asha Hooda (wife of Bhupender Hooda, ex-CM of Haryana) was trustee of Rampal Baba ashram. Due inquiries are necessary to be made regarding negligence of Hooda govt who allowed Rampal baba to grow this big. Was this negligence due to incompetence OR collusion has to be inquired. What Khattar did in one month, why Hooda tolerated for so many years? Third point is regarding larger issue. I see this baba-bust coupled with NIAs action in West Bengal busting the resident Islamist networks there. I hope (and suspect) similar action will be taken against armed Jihadi networks operating from western UP. All such armed gangs should be busted and indiscriminately and thoroughly cleansed. Swachh Bhaarat Abhiyaan indeed. I wish Modi-Sarkaar all the best for this cleansing. Sindhu-Ganga valley (Indo-Gangetic plains) has been systemically rotting for few centuries. It is high time this accumulated filth like Rampal, IM, SIMI, CPI-ML and many others is cleaned.
