Now that is a great idea. I actually had a moment of enlightenment today or maybe a vision of a possible alternate future where part of parks were set aside to grow small orchards and have vegetable gardens. Not portioned like some places or ownership place on particular beds or plots -England and Austria for examples where people just went to have the possibility to plant and nurture something if they wanted to but not obligated to do this daily and other would also do this. A real community garden where the produce was free to anyone in moderate quantities. A place where city children who never get the chance to see food how it should be grown and never get to pick an apple off a tree. Some cities do similar things already but not on the scale to give delight to so many. People need this and the earth needs also I suspect it would do the cities good as well.
