Now that its been posted for a bit, I just wanted to say that I know some people wont like what Bren and I had decided to name our daughter. Its a bit weird, different, and kind of out there.. But not as much as you might think. I did do my research. lol Now when I first was presented with the idea of using Zelda about a year or so ago, I laughed it off and was like Haha.. No.. But it grew on me. And not just because of the video game series. There is Robin Williams who named his daughter Zelda(I know Celebs arent at ALL the best people to take naming advice from, but atleast I didnt take North West.. You can keep that one Kayne/Kim, please.. Keep it and never let anyone take it.) But there is Aunt Zelda from Sabrina and The F. Scott Flitzgeralds wife was named Zelda, If you dont know.. He wrote The Great Gatsby and a few other pieces of literature. I did search forums and web sites for people named Zelda to see what they thought of their name later down the road.. Some LOVED it and some HATED it.. and Some HATED it when they were younger, and LOVED it when they grew older to appreciate it. But there are plenty of kids out there who are like this. Heck, I wasnt overly fond of how common my name was in middle/start of high school. But I grew to realize, its not so bad. And she has a normal middle name, that if she hates her name so much.. She may use that or use Nicknames from it. With that being said, again, I know some people wont like it.. And think its strange of Bren and I.. And I was worried about how people would take it when I got around to posting it.. But the more I open up my photo album of baby girls pictures so far, the more I fall in love with it. Others dont have to like it, She does have a normal middle name if they are so inclined to not use her first name, I suppose. I look for support, not necessarily acceptance. And love for my daughter, not matter. Thanks.
