Now that the dust has settled after our GR8K race and we had time - TopicsExpress

Now that the dust has settled after our GR8K race and we had time to reflect we once again wish to sincereley thank everyone that had any involvement in the event. The event proved to be a huge success and we have received so much positive feedback. It was a big change for us this year from new route to new hosting facilities and thank God it paid off. We aim to grow this event year on year and showcase our club and Mitchelstown. This would not have been possible without all those people working behind the scenes. We would sincerely like to thank the staff of the C.B.S Mitchelstown who helped us out to host the event as they got very short notice. Misfortunately due to unforseen circumstances we could not get into the new leisure centre as planned but these thing happen. We can look forward to it next year. We would also like to thank Jamie Walsh and all the stewards for doing a fantastic job, along with An Garda Siochana and John Mcmahon for the barriers. The catering staff for their efficiency in feeding all the troops. Tesco and Supervalu for allowing us to use their parking facilities. Our great M.C Maurice Walsh, Dan McCarthy our race starter, the Red Cross, Precision Timing for doing a great job. A special thank you also has to go out to Kieran Cotter (Gleeson group), Independence Music Festival, Market Place Restaurant, Country Clean, Ballyhoura running series (Tom Blackburn) and the many photographers who lined the route. Also to our super helicopter cameraman Mike and his assistant Shane who captured what can only be described as amazing footage of the race and showcased Mitchelstown in all its glory. To all the participants, thank you...thank you...thank you. To the people of Mitchelstown and our own Galtee runners members and officers, ye did our club and our town proud. Here is looking forward to 2015. I think the final word of thanks has to go to a man who Im sure ye will all agree puts his life and soul into this race every year and nobody will ever understand the amount of time he puts into this event. Our race director Johnny O Sullivan, take a bow and thanks for all the hard work. From all at the Galtee Runners. https://youtube/watch?v=tJRmz_-qSKw
