Now that the transfer of German born Turkish, Emre Can from Bayer 04 Leverkusen to Liverpool is done and dusted, this is a little I know about him since his time with FC Bayern Munchen Germany and Leverkusen and what I am sure he will provide for Liverpool. Emre Can is a versatile youngster who can play from anywhere at the back to midfield. Hes dubbed as the next Bastian Schweinsteiger of German football. His exploit for the German U17 in 2011 brought him to the limelight with some stupendous display of football as the captain of the team which included Mitchell Weiser. His time with FC Bayern München under Jupp Heynckes when he signed his professional contract was a difficult one for him because he had to compete with world class midfielders like •Bastian Schweinsteiger••, Javi Martinez, Luiz Gustavo and Anatoliy Tymoshchuk which he barely had playing time under the treble winning coach. However, any time he was given the time to prove his mettle right, he did it with the highest level of professionalism of fantastic football. He only had a goal for Bayern. Rather not to waste his talent at Bayern, he was transferred to Bayer 04 Leverkusen last season to have much playing time under Sami Hyypia and truly he made 29 appearance there with 3 assist and goal last season in the Bundesliga. Because of how much important he is to the course of Bayern Munichs fraternity, his release to Leverkusen was attached with a buy out clause to Bayern anytime the they wanted him. It really speaks volume of how much quality and a good player he is. His transfer to Liverpool will further galvanize his status as a quality player through regular playing time, which is likely. Liverpool last season, never deployed a natural DM in most of their matches. They used Gerrard and Henderson in that role in most of their game throughout the season. Lucas Leiva Oficial is a reliable Defensive midfielder when fit but he cant guarantee the Meyserside club 3 or 4 matches on trot without injury so the purchase of Can is well spotted for them in that position. Can exudes a lot of discipline and much defensive qualities coupled with some attacking instinct which will help the course of Liverpool who will be competing in 4 tournaments next season. Liverpudians can be rest assumed of fluidity in the middle with some quick passes to set on attacks. His qualities as a player will help him to adapt to the pacy and tactical nature of the EPL quickly. With few matches in the premiership, he will be like a player who has played in the league all these while. A very good purchase by Brendan Rogers.
