Now the Biblical doctrine of the Kingdom of the God has suffered - TopicsExpress

Now the Biblical doctrine of the Kingdom of the God has suffered considerably from this tendency toward over-simplification. Men have overlooked the greatness of this Kingdom, its richness and complexity, its vast sweep through history, and its outreach into the eternal state. Too much has been ignored or explained away in the interest of partial and inadequate definitions. This assertion is underscored by the very small place given to the subject of the Kingdom in certain well-known and honored works by conservative theologians. In some, one looks in vain for even any mention of the term kingdom in their indexes; and their treatment of our Lords office as King is both regrettably meager and unsatisfactory. When we turn to those books written specifically about the Kingdom, too often they are found to be devoted chiefly to one aspect which is made the type-phenomenon of a system which leaves out other important and significant elements. - The Greatness of the Kingdom; Alva J. McClain ...and so it begins. This is just one of many profound works that nearly every derisive critic of Premillennialism has yet to read.
