Now the dust has settled on what was an awesome event at the British downhill series opener at Antur Stiniog Cyf a few thank yous must go out. Thanks to Simon Paton and his team for a great event, thanks to my staff at the Centre, Med, Nigel Morris,Rommee, Trevor Francis Jones, Nia Bont, Rhodri Pugh, Sian, Donna, Tom H, Gareth Wyn Roberts, Alwen Williams, Jenn, Sian Bont, Non Rowlands, Leigh, Kelsey, Gary, Rachael, and Steve C for a faultless uplift service, and awesome job in the Cafe all weekend. Also thanks to the Antur Stiniog /1868 Racing race team James Hughes, Owain James, and Alex Florian who came 17th, 27th, and 49th respectively in a fully stacked Elite field that had its fair share of World Champs in there, Iwan Rhys Griffiths aka Marv for destroying the senior men and taking the win.....not bad for a guy who only started riding again 2 months ago! And I even managed to sneak out for a few runs and managed to sneak a third behind two legends of the sport, Nige Page, and Tim Ponting....so well happy! Massive thanks to everyone who came along and spectated, it was unreal to have so many people shouting all the way down that track, and supporting the event like they did......right enough rambling, Chinese, beer, bath and bed!!!#shattered!
