Now then. Psychologically (if not quite physiologically) Im back to a state of waving not drowning. Which is nice. Ive been reading a few books recently, one in particular about goal-setting and motivation. Im not a fan of self-help books, but these are ones based on research and tested outcomes, rather than woo woo. Part of this years plan was to get fitter, happier and more sorted. I had started at the beginning of the year Ive spent much of this year being ill with one thing and another, however its time to straighten oneself out. However, apparently one of the keys to achieving ones goals is to tell people what they are. Well if thats what works, then so be it. This is not the smallest bit personally embarrassing, as Ive never been a talker about these things but... Here we go... My overall goal is to be happier, fitter and less anxious/stressed. To do this, I shall split these into sub-goals:- My first sub-goal is to get fitter and stronger. I would like to be able to run 5K by 1 Sept 2015. My second sub-goal is to be less than 13 stone by 1 Sept 2015. My third sub-goal is to better stabilise and manage my little chemical imbalance. Again, 1 Sept 2015 My fourth sub-goal is to be more creative, more often. I have a few things in mind which I intend to be habitual by 31 Dec 2014, and kept up thereafter until 1 Sept 2015. I appreciate each of those individual things, by themselves, might be nothing to write home about. but collectively, they can be quite a challenge to manage. There Professor Richard Wiseman, Ive said it out loud. Let us all never speak of this again. ;)
