Now theyre after our SBS! Having already undermined our ABC, the Abbott Government has turned its attention to Australias other beloved public broadcaster – our SBS. The Government is proposing changes that will double the amount of SBS airtime allocated to commercial breaks, effectively turning it into a fourth fully commercial TV channel. If the proposals go ahead, they will severely hinder the ability of the SBS to provide quality content for our increasingly diverse community.
