Now, this is what I don’t understand. You set up what is supposed to be a fast-track court, you take nearly eight months to hear everyone out, which is fine, for we are not monkeys in an Arnab Goswami-esque kangaroo court. The judge rules that the prosecution has established “beyond doubt” that the four were guilty of attack and rape of the woman. It’s not even lunch time, and you say you will announce punishment for the four tomorrow. Yes, there’s a process and a procedure for everything but then why on earth call it a FAST-track court and treat it as emergency? What fact-track; it’s like those darned railway tracks – rukawat ke liye khed hai, but gaddi ab kal chalegi.
