Now, this isnt a Never Were, more of a Never See It: the B737-200 Unpaved Airstrip package, more commonly known as the Gravel Kit. Because of the low-slung engines on the 737, the gravel kit was somewhat more elaborate than that on the 727, BAC 1-11 475 or DC-9: there was a big spade or ski fitted to the nosewheel and deflector jets mounted on the engine nacelles. And unlike the other airliners mentioned, it affected both the appearance and flight characteristics of the jet. In the photo you can see the ski attached to the nosewheel and the vortex jets (the little pipes) under the nacelles. The idea of a B737 bushplane kind of appeals to me...
