Now this makes sense... to me. The arguments and evidence Ms. Sommers provides seem completely logical and reasonable. Truth, factual research, and evidence should take priority over emotion evoking mania. Her statments seem true. And from my point of view a lot of the contemporary feminist arguments seem like shadow games designed to rile people up. Keep them focused and angry about the issue, rather than searching for evidence based solutions. Now that being said, Im a middle-class white male college student in the Southeastern United States, and Ive only ever observed society through that perspective. And Im not entirely willing to jump on the bandwagon of one female scholar throwing data around on a viral article from the blaze, but it does make sense. Could any one out there, especially women with a different perspective explain to me with reason, not emotionally-charged hate statements, if/why these kinds of thought processes are inherently misogynistic or wrong themselves?
